One of the first dog breeds that I ever snapped was a small poodle. He would race round the studio checking on what everyone was doing. Poodles are a robust breed and live between ten and eighteen years and in a few cases up to twenty-one years. There are references to Poodles as far back as the fifteenth century in France, Holland and Italy. The 1st reference to Poodles being good swimmers was in 1642 ( the Poodle was initially bread as a water retriever ).
